On Monday, July 13th, 2015, Joe Coughlin was invited to present at the White House Conference on Aging, marking the 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act and Medicare. The event held in the White House East Room featured remarks by President Obama to the gathering of leaders in aging across the United States. Topics included financial security, caregiving, housing, nutrition, technology and innovation. Joe Coughlin spoke as part of an armchair panel titled “Innovations in Aging” chaired by JD Patil, the U.S. Chief Data Scientist from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
