Tivity Health and the MIT AgeLab are sponsoring this symposium as part of a collaboration aimed at deepening our understanding of aging and how to meet the needs of today’s older adults.

The symposium will explore how businesses and other organizations are integrating or leveraging physical fitness, nutrition and social connectivity to meet the needs and demands of a new generation of older consumers, who have different expectations around aging and wellbeing. Those that recognize these new preferences and needs of this rapidly growing consumer segment will be poised to capitalize on creating products and services that support the overall health and wellbeing of older adults via fitness, nutrition and social connectedness, and on delivering these in innovative ways.

New research will be shared from a Tivity Health and AgeLab collaboration on the lifestyles of today’s older adults and how people’s chosen activities contribute to their vitality. Expert panelists will explore the innovative ways in which diverse organizations have sought to incorporate, integrate and customize the cornerstones of fitness, food and friends in how they deliver products, services and experiences to excite and delight this new generation of older consumers. Through active discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to learn, to share, and to identify opportunities for partnerships to better integrate offerings in these key areas.

In particular, how different groups integrate more than one of these concepts in what they deliver, as well as the importance of customizing solutions for individuals and for communities.
