Research Interests

Dick Myrick serves as a Research Fellow at the AgeLab. His research interests involve methods to enhance older adults’ use of technology, issues related to housing for older populations, and the role of services as contributors to solutions in these areas. He also provides project management for some AgeLab research projects.

Mr. Myrick retired in 2008 after more than 30 years of employment as an engineer and engineering manager with Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Draeger Medical. His work was concentrated in Medical Equipment, and he and his teams were responsible for many new products, as well as several innovations in algorithms, data presentation, and networked capabilities. Mr. Myrick also worked with and was responsible for engineering groups in Germany and Japan.

Mr. Myrick has a BSEE from MIT and an MSEE from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
