Why are some married couples better prepared for retirement than others? Which couples have made plans to ensure that, should anything happen to one half of the couple, the other half can be assured a safe and comfortable retirement? The MIT AgeLab and The Hartford unveil recent research results on how couples’ financial management styles are related to their retirement preparations. “Couples Planning” describes different approaches couples take to managing their finances, and discusses why some planning styles may lead couples to plan more successfully for retirement.
