The AgeLab e-Home Social Kitchen project, led by Professor Oli deWeck and Daisuke Asai, will be featured on NPR's All Things Considered today, at 4 and 6:20 pm. The e-Home project finds solutions to everyday living that allow older adults to complete daily tasks independently and safely.

Researchers road test brain fitness software

There has been a considerable amount of attention to and public interest in brain fitness programs for an aging population. Some of these programs suggest that they may improve driving performance. A team of researchers from the New England University Transportation Center and MIT AgeLab and University of Massachusetts Boston are investigating whether DriveSharp, a brain fitness program by Posit Science, changes actual driving performance or the allocation of visual attention to the road.

Director Joe Coughlin named a Fellow of the Geronotological Society of America

Dr. Joseph Coughlin, AgeLab Director, has been named a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) through its Behavioral and Social Sciences Section. He was recognized for his outstanding research contributions on improving the lives of older adults and for his continuing work in the field of gerontology.
