The MIT AgeLab participated in “Progress through Collaboration: Addressing the needs of Alzheimer’s disease with innovation”, which was held at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The day-long event was hosted by Alzheimer’s Immunotherapy Program of Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy and Pfizer Inc. AgeLab Director Joe Coughlin spoke on the disruptive demographics of aging and Birgit Kramer, our PhD student posted in Germany, talked about caregivers of patients with dementia and their acceptance of technology. Participants had the opportunity to interact with AgeLab iPad apps under development, as well as try on AGNES.
