AgeLab Director Joe Coughlin brought Hebrew Senior Life Orchard Cove retirement community up to speed on the latest technologies for older adults during a visit on April 11. The talk was part of a series in the new "Retirement University" of Hebrew Senior Life, affiliated with Harvard Medical School and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Residents learned about innovations that can be placed in the home, in the car and even on the individual that aim to track and improve well-being. Coughlin discussed ongoing AgeLab research and how it led to his theories on how the Baby Boomer generations' expectations about technology will drive innovation in health care, financial services, insurance, information technology and automobiles.
The event was covered in an article by the Patriot Ledger, which can be viewed here.
