AgeLab Director Joe Coughlin will be a guest speaker for the Transportation@MIT 2010 Seminar Series on Tuesday, Nov 2. In his lecture, entitled The Future is Gray, Small & Female: Disruptive Demographics and Transportation Tomorrow, Coughlin will discuss the implications of an aging population, such as a decline in fertility rates and an increase in older adults living alone (most of them women). He will draw connections between demographics and transportation and logistics demands to understand how we might better anticipate the future of transportation.
The lecture will be held in 4-237 on Tuesday, November 2 at 4pm. The seminar series is free and open to the public.
