Joe Coughlin spoke with PBS Newshour’s Hari Sreenivasan yesterday on staying safe behind the wheel at any age. Coughlin talked about the dangers of fatigue and how the AgeLab’s AwareCar tracks driver state via heart rate, skin conductance and eye movement. He talks about the baby bomers’ experience with technology, great expectations, and interest in high-tech, high-style and high price tag. He points out that 70% of baby boomers live where public transportation is difficult to access. He foresees baby boomers on the road far longer than previous generations.
