Former UROP wins Fulbright

Former AgeLab student researcher Dorothy Brown received a Fulbright to study in Brazil  the use of rice husk ash in concrete as a low-cost and environmentally friendly construction material. This project builds on research Brown conducted for her master’s thesis in civil and environmental engineering.

Brown is remembered at the AgeLab as thinking up the acronym AGNES (Age Gain Now Empathy System) for us.
