AgeLab Research Scientist Chaiwoo Lee, AgeLab Postdoctoral Associate Shabnam FakhrHosseini, AgeLab Technical Associate John Rudnik, and MIT Master’s students Susy Tort Ayala and Ishai Shoham led the first onsite meeting of the MIT AgeLab Connected Home Logistics (C3) Consortium. The C3 Consortium conducts research to envision novel integration of home technologies and services, and serves as a catalyst for organizations seeking to develop them.
The researchers reviewed the methodology and results from mixed-methods research intended to identify challenges in older adults’ and caregivers’ lives that would be improved by the application of new technologies and services. Consortium members participated in discussions around research implications, new challenges and questions, and directions for future studies. Consortium members from Five Star Senior Living, Humana, Stanley Healthcare, UPS, USAA and WeHealth by Servier attended the meeting.
