City of Boston Begins Tests of Self-Driving Cars

Thu, 09/15/2016

The City of Boston recently announced self-driving cars will begin testing on Boston’s streets toward the end of this year. This an exciting initiative that shares many of the research interests we have here at the MIT AgeLab. In fact, earlier this year the MIT AgeLab began its own initiative exploring advanced vehicle technologies in real-world settings. Read or hear AgeLab scientist Bryan Reimer comment on the exploration and advancement of self-driving cars and advanced vehicle technologies.

If you or someone you know is interested in this research and owns a Tesla with Autopilot or a 2017 Volvo S90 or XC90, more details about the study can be found at tesla-study.mit.edu, by emailing us at teslastudy@mit.edu, or by filling out our interest form here.
