AgeLab Director, Joseph Coughlin was interviewed along with industry experts in the recent issue of Bank Investment Consultant’s “Making Sense of Behavioral Economics.” Coughlin provided insight into why the lessons of behavioral economics have, thus far, been slow to change the retirement planning and financial services industry. He suggests several opportunities to improve the delivery of advice and product innovation based upon AgeLab’s on-going research to improve the industry’s understanding of how people frame their futures and retirement plans across the lifespan.
