AgeLab presents at US Army Research Institute

Tue, 01/11/2011

AgeLab researchers Bryan Reimer and Bruce Mehler spoke at the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine this past Tuesday, Jan. 4. The focus of the discussion was the use of physiological and visual attention measures for operator state detection in recent AgeLab studies. The researchers had previously collected data via these methods to gain an understanding of shifts in the attention of drivers asked to complete cognitive tasks while driving. Heart rate, skin conductance and visual attention were monitored to determine how new in-vehicle technology alters driver wellness.
