Research Interests

Maureen Mohyde has been a leader in the field of aging for over twenty years. As director in the corporate gerontology group of The Hartford, she has played a key role in developing innovative education programs for both employees and older customers. Maureen is responsible for The Hartford’s research partnership with MIT AgeLab, developing innovative projects to understand older drivers. Her older driver research interests focus on ways in which individuals and their families can better manage driving risk as they age.

The Hartford has been a winner of the prestigious American Society on Aging Business of the Year award. Prior to joining The Hartford, Ms. Mohyde held various positions in health and aging, including director of the North Central Connecticut Area Agency on Aging. She holds an MA in gerontology from the University of New Haven, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College and a Registered Financial Gerontologist (RFG) designation from the American Institute of Financial Gerontology.
