Driving from the West (I-90) (Mass Turnpike)

Follow I-90 east to the Cambridge/Brighton exit (exit 18). Following the signs to Cambridge, cross the River Street Bridge, and take a sharp right onto Memorial Drive heading east. Follow Memorial Drive for 2 miles - you’ll pass the Hyatt Hotel, the MIT dorms, go under an underpass and then the campus with it’s domed buildings. After the underpass, get in the left lane and take a left at the first stoplight onto Wadsworth Street (sign says Kendall Square). The Muckley Building is a brick three-story building one block down at the first intersection of Wadsworth and Amherst Street.

Driving from the North (I-95 or I-93)

If you are heading south on I-93, follow I-93 into Boston then follow the I-93 instructions below. If you are heading south on I-95, take the I-93 South exit then follow the instructions from I-93. Alternatively, take the I-90 East exit from I-95 then follow the instructions from I-90.

Driving from the South (I-95 or I-93)

If you are heading north on I-93, follow I-93 (the Southeast Expressway) into Boston then follow the I-93 instructions below. If you are heading north on I-95, take the I-93 North exit then follow the instructions from I-93. Alternatively, take the I-90 East exit from I-95 then follow the instructions from I-90.

Local: Driving from the Central Artery (Boston)

From I-93 North, take the exit marked “Storrow Drive West.” Storrow Drive follows the Boston side of the Charles River and MIT is on the Cambridge side of the Charles. Stay in the left lane to take the Longfellow Bridge exit ramp on your left. Take a right and drive across the bridge into Cambridge—watch carefully to take the sharp right at the bottom of the bridge that will curve you around and onto Memorial Drive West. Follow Memorial Drive for one block and take a right onto Wadsworth Street. Then follow the directions above to find AgeLab.

Local: Driving from the Harvard Bridge (Boston)

Cross the bridge from Massachusetts Avenue, Boston into Cambridge. Take a sharp right at the end of the bridge onto Memorial Drive-East. The Charles River will be on your right. Driving from Logan Airport

Cambridge is only a 15 minute drive from the airport but you should allow 40 minutes during rush hour. Take the main exit from the airport (not the Ted Williams Tunnel) and follow the signs toward Boston via the Sumner Tunnel (it’s a left turn out of the airport and leads down a ramp directly to the tunnel entrance). The tunnel toll is $3. As you exit the tunnel, stay on the left and curve right—and up a ramp—onto the expressway (93 North). Take the exit marked “Storrow Drive West.” Storrow Drive follows the Boston side of the Charles River and MIT is on the Cambridge side of the Charles.
